*** Walkin' the dog...
Fort Holmes
The highest point on Mackinac Island and a great walk in the woods. Chose paved or dirt trails and take in the sights and sounds of Mackinac Island's boreal forest.
Arch Rock Shoreline
Just a 20 minute walk from downtown, the water is great for swimming with your dog. We recommend all human companions wear swimming sandals as Mackinac is known for her rocky shoreline.
Brown's Brook
This pretty brook is a couple miles from downtown on Mackinac's west shoreline. With a pretty nature trail and a windy brook, this is a perfect picnic spot.
Anne's Tablet
This beax arts monument was created to honor the poet Constance Fenimore Woolson and is on the Fort bluff overlooking Haldimand Bay between Crow's Nest Trail and Fort Mackinac. |
