The City Council of Mackinac Island has prohibited personal automobiles for over 100 years in order to preserve its horse culture. National Geographic has deemed this responisble choice one of the contributing factors to choosing Mackinac Island as one of the top ten rated Islands in the world for sustainability.

This annual fundraiser for the Mackinac Island Community Foundation features a great, silent auction, wine tasting, appetizers and Epona goddess card readings. Tickets available May 1 from the Tourism Bureau and at the door, presented by the Mackinac Island Community Foundation.
